you think you can get a tech II hooked up to it and see whats going on?
did you clean the maf sensor, how about the driver side ic tube, sometimes it can have a hole rubbed in it by the power steering lines coming from the gearbox

Can't get a Tech II, my Mechanis up and moved to Tenn. I have had to resort to a reputable diesel mech here in Savannah, closed Saturdays. The maf is located off the filter ..correct?? What is the easiest may to clean it?? The ic tube runs from where to where?? This truck has 130k on it and before this it pulled like a horse!!!

its right after the filter on the intake, theres a sensor inside the intake tube just spray it and make sure its dried up and there is none left in the intake tubing.
you can get it at any autoparts store. The IC tubing the big silver pipe that comes from the turbo on the driver side, follow it to the bottom right before it goes into the inercooler and the IC tube passes right above the power steering gearbox. sometimes on the lb7 motors since they have bugger pipes they can rub against stuff and actually get rubbed through
not like this would make a code but it would definitely hurt performance. and the oil from the filter could get the maf dirty so it would need to be cleaned
