well im back at home for spring break this week just getting it ready to pullin the next couple days i took a picture of that case but need to figure out how to upload it.

your right about the lift pump, when they go bad they can get noisy, i would also try to figure out the most in expensive fix first before a complete tear down. you should also do the kdp repair, i sugest you build your owne tab. its easy to do and way cheaper. you need a good magnet too, to fish the pin out your oil pan...good luck...i have picyures of my kdp fix in my profile if you want to check it out

the engine will be coming out in the next few days finally got the tranny transfer and driveshafts out. i thought about just fixing what i need to but im tired of messing with it in frame and since i am building the motor i want to check it out and make sure its in good shape. i dont like going at things half way and then having to tear it down again in a few months down the road im just doing it all at once.

pulled the head yesterday. couldnt see any cylinder scoring or obvious signs of damage. will know more when i get the pistons out. having some rouble gettimg my injectors out do i need a special tool o pull them or what?

oh i cant belive i didnt have a blown head gasket 3 bolts were so lose that i could have taken te out with a 3/8ths ratchet
