Question Battery harness ?

I've had some electrical issues. I just got my ignition switch re-wired. BIG MESS!!! (see pics in gallery tonight)
I noticed that at the right side (looking at truck) where the harness attaches to the engine, the connection is COMPLETELY covered in oil!! dried up dirty stuff. Would this be a reason my alternator is STILL acting up? Or am I being picky? Be nice

I reckon it could be the problem. Use some electra clean and clean all the gunk off the connections, then unplug em and clean all the pins. Be sure to disconnect the - tems on the batteries, or you take a chance arching some of the pins.

Will LPS no flash electro contact cleaner work ok??? Its the only thing I have at the moment.
check out the pics of what started all this.....idiots.....even a girl can tell its not right.!!
Thanks in advance

and so your right Doc, all I caught was LPS. I see it doesn't leave a residue, so it'll work.
