99 Dodge 2500 wont shift
I have a 1999 Dodge 2500 diesel with the auto and it seems like its in limp mode. I tried the resistor on the orange wire, and it didnt work. I just got this truck on Wed. 183K miles are on it. I need help. Does it sound like a bad transmission? May need a tranny flush? Any ideas would be appreciated. What transmission company would be the best?
Thanks
Rick

I had my govenor pressure soleinoid replaced recently as mine won`t not shift sometime
might take it to a tranny shop near you and have em hook it up to their scanner
mine would not show any codes but theirs did
good luck

Or get in touch with dave goerand! He is a magician with the 47 re trannys! Got mine to work for 6 months! Yes it was a bandaid till I could afford a new trans, but I am hard on my trans everyday!
I once had what sounds like the same issue with 99. I called all over the place and got the same suggestion several times. Clean the battery cables.
If your cables are clean, you may want to look to the injection pump. Mine went out at about 185k.
