As I was driving today I noticed a growling noise from the engine when I applied my brakes and a couple of times when turning.I am assuming that this is caused by loss of vacuum as power steering fluid level was fine.I have also noticed that my 4x4 dash light flickers on and off when not engaged.Could this be related somehow because of a vacuum line issue?

The problem right now is still intermittent and I haven't lost brakes or steering yet,it just growls,Does this sound like a seal problem?

 

The vacuum pumps are a common issue give pete a call and tell him what your trucks doing and he will confirm what you need to do to fix it
