Default Lacks The Power It Used To Have

Hi all sorry for the long post but here's the thing had the ficm replaced on my 04 6l a couple of months ago and the truck has been running good so i thought and it does when its empty but hooked onto my fifth wheel to go to the mountains and i might as well have been pulling the trailer with my old 5.4 liter ford the trailer weighs about 12000 lbs, the truck is still stock other than some gauges but used to pull the trailer real well before do i need to reprogram the truck or is something else wrong thanks again.

do yo mean that they replaced the Front Mount Inter Cooler? FMIC?

if so what do your gauges read? mainly boost and EGT? where is the placement of the EGT probe?

if they replaced just the intercooler i'd look for a boost presure leak from either a busted/cut boot or a loose clamp.

yes the fuel injection control module a all i have done so far is gauges but in the near future the cat is going away and a 4" straight pipe is going on but not just yet. I have the dealer going to look at it but i sort of don't trust everything they say but there going to hook it up and were going to drive it with the trailer on. Also when they replaced the ficm they said they had to reprogram all the computers and could it be that it needs to be reset or something thanks again.

Default Sorry

Distress area usually slips my eye. I have heard this complaint many times. Most of the time it is only noticable when towing. I cant really explain it. It doesnt really make a bunch of sense and everytime you ask someone they cant give you a straight answer. I dont usually notice it because they run just fine empty. I guess if it is a problem for you I would look into an SCT with some tow tunes. But defenatly have it checked and make sure everything is ok.
