Default 97 mod Tahoe 6.5 td running problems

Hey

I've been trying to get my 6.5 TD to run properly.

Whole story is. I was driving to the heliport one day to go to work. When i arrived at the parking lot i noticed it was knocking a whole lot. Checked oil, and it was low. So i concluded with that and parked. When i got back i topped her up and drove home.

A couple of days later i went to the workshop to work. It was behaving like an idiot to say the least. running at low rpms and cruising it was knocking like ignition knocking. And when accelerating it stalled at 1100-1300rpm like it was drowning. Impossible to start up again when warm and very rough when started cold. Tried disconnecting heatsensor with no difference. Also replaced wiring for the PMD. No cigar.

Asked around and people said it would be the injectors. So i ordered and mounted new ones. Though, old ones were very worn. It was the same after.

So i ordered a new PMD/FSD. Got it today and mounted it with a fresh new diesel filter. Its still the same. And im pretty lost here. I need help from you diesel gurues.

Also, liftpump has been replaced. Thinking of putting back the old one to try it since problems arised a couple of months after replacing it. It was working fine with the old one.

two videos here to illustrate the problem.

Im sure one of you will see these and go "Oh, thats the thingamabob jingleberry dunkawunk"

In advance. Thanks for the effort and help.

Year of truck: The lords year of 1997

Motor: 6.5 turbo diesel

Mods: Deleted EGR, relocated PMD, SSD injectors (brand new), open air filter.

Anything you've done recently: Changed lift pump, changed diesel filter, changed pmd, changed injectors.

How is the truck primarily used: Daily beater to and from work and hauling stuff.

When did the issue start, and if it's intermittent or all the time: Driving to Heliport to go to work. Noticed ticking sounds when on low rpm. Checked oil, was low. Went to work, got back 14 days later and topped her up. Next couple of days ticking would intensify. Car would get impossible to start when warm and run real rough.

Anything else that might pertain to the issues at hand: Only thing i did before the problems arised is change the liftpump.

Any codes, and what are you reading codes with: While not recalling the OBD numbers. Injection pump calibration and cylinder imbalance variating between cylinder numbers for each clearup.
