mad 2004.5 cummins rollin coal non stop

new to the DB site thought i would pick yall's brain. turck gets 12 mpg, blows black smoke from every stop light also puffs down the freeway, a dog off the start, egts @ 65 flat run will be 800-900....so ive been all over this thing and cant figure it out. ive done compression check, all around 490. new head, new injectors, pump builds proper fuel pressure, boost will build up to 32psi.

someone please have some answers before i run myself over with it

Were the same size injectors put in there?.....and you are positive? Were they new or reman? Black smoke = unburnt fuel and more air needed. Larger injectors will dump more fuel creating the smoke. Also since you are using more fuel MPG goes down!

Your EGTs are similar to my truck with 100hp injectors and larger turbo. You Should be a bit cooler in the 600-700 range I would think
