Hi all. I have an International 4700 V8 Diesel. Recently while driving, the engine will shut down, check engine light comes on. Putting in neutral, i can restart and continue driving, and the it continues to do the same thing. However, sometimes, I can drive for miles and miles and it works fine.

I had it checked and the tech found a loose cable on the battery along with some arcing. He claims it was repaired and I drove it about 150 miles before it started acting up again.

Had another tech look at it (I wasn't present) and was told the problem was repaired.

Again, drive it about 80 miles and the problem started up again.

Any clues?
