Default 1994 Chevy 6.5 TD cold start problems [Newbie]

I am new to the diesel world and have recently purchased a 94 chevy td last month.
I am from Michigan and it was about 40 degrees when i purchased it. Started right up on test drive no problems all around a pretty solid truck.
the weather took a turn recently going from 40 to 24 degrees. When plugged in for about an hour+ she turns over either on first or second try at about 24 degrees.
It is currently 30-35 degrees. and will not turn over cold not plugged in at this temp. Is this normal? If i do get it to turn over its after 2-4 tries of 15 second starts if i'm hitting the throttle. I am temporarily living in an apartment so plugging in over night isnt really possible. while cold starting at 30-35 degrees also while cranking my glow plug lights flash back on is this normal? I came here to ask if this is normal. I also havent done a glow plug check yet. I feel like i should just do an all around glowplug replacement since not knowing when the last was. Also my pmd is relocated inside my bumper. If i hit a bump to hard ext. it stalls out. Which at first i thought it was a ground issue, but it also stalls randomly. maybe a loose connection on the pmd cable? it does it sometimes even if i havent hit a bump i could be coasting at 25 down the road and sometimes it randomly stalls out. I am going to put a big steel bumper on this weekend so will have to relocate. Im thinking i should probably just purchase a new pmd wire to see if that solves while relocating. I would appreciate some information I joined Diesel Bombers seeking knowledge. other than these minor issues for paying 800 dollars for an ext. cab 8ft bed 280k Tdiesel mule with barely any rust. I still feel like i've got my moneys worth just trying to figure her out before next winter when the real cold starts happen. By then i should be back in a home where i can plug in. Any Diagnosis information on my issues would be Great. Thank you.
