Yea when I bought it about a year and a half ago the guy didn't have any gauges on it and when I finally got them hooked up it has 4 psi so I replaced the lift pump but I drove it about 2 months before replacement and God knows how long he drove it like that

Honestly I I've been on vacation I haven't worked on it for a bit but the came back and the batteries were dead I had 6 volts for both haha charged them for a few days fired ot up and it sputtered twice then ran fine at a idle for around an hour then I shut it off 5 to 10 times and it ran fine and fired back up fine so I drove it about 10 miles didnt miss a beat. I don't know if it was coincidence or if the problem still lies somewhere but on Monday I'm going to get 2 new batteries anyway to try it first and I will let u know

Update I've put 2 new batteries and all new cable ends on because they wouldn't tighten and I've drove it for 2 days now no problems knock on wood maybe on Sunday I'll hook my edge back up and try that then

Update hauled a load of logs today and made it home and truck shut off went to start it cranked like it didn't have fuel (just filled tank last night and fuel pressure gauge during cranking was 16psi) then it would start and shut off start and shut off and start then shut off then cranked for like almost a min then do the same start shut off start then shut off. Finally got a engine code of p1689 no communication between ecm and injection pump. Any ideas?

I would look at those burnt wires on the injection pump module. And prepare to buy a pump. That's probably not what you want to hear but the module isn't serviceable without replacing the pump.

Yea i was planning on it just want to make sure that's it is all. U know with problems like this there's always that feeling like if I put this pump in and then it sputters on me again then what haha

I think that it is a possibility with the wiring damaged it could have damaged the ECM. Definitely need to fix those wires at the plug for the VP module with some heat shrink or something, check all the pins in that plug for deterioration from heat. Best thing would be to re-pin that plug. or replace the harness.
