Default 7.3 Econoline Van No Power

Ok, it's not mine but, I'm trying to help a guy out.

It starts when the block is warmed for a couple hours. Still no power.
Oil changed, new cps. All glowplugs work but 1. Fuel filter ok. And a reman ecu.

134k miles. When it does start it barely moves itself around on level ground. Even with no load it takes awhile to build rpms and spool the turbo. You guys have any ideas??

Does it smoke, blue, black, gray, or white? Exhaust have an odor, like burning oil, unburnt fuel?

it doesn't smoke at all. It does smell like alittle raw fuel.

Default raw fuel

if it smells like raw fuel out the exhaust it is most likely going to be a loose injector or injector orings on one or more cyls. Really need to run a contribution test to see what cyl it may be.

Default new question

well, i found that only the passenger side of the engine is running. I tested this with a laser thermometer and only one side of the engine has hot exhaust gases.Oh, there is also no diesel rattle on the dead side.I'm thinking it could be the injector computer as I have already replaced the ecm. What do you think.

Pull the valve cover on the side that is dead and check to make sure the harness is pluged in at the valve cover. There is a connector inside and outside and the inside connector is known for wiggling loose or cocking to one side disabling the bank.
