no egr or catalytic. 2001 ram 2500 cummins; california SMOG
hey you guys. it looks like my 2001 ram 2500 5.9 cummins out of factory came with just a muffler; also, ive seen somewhere that this vehicle has no EGR, can someone help me verify this? I bought my vehicle off someone on craigslist and the dmv said ill have to get it smogged. I'm hoping someone here has some pointers for me so i dont have to throw away money at a smog place to be told what i have to do. I also dont want to spend 1200$ on a catalytic converter.

heres a pdf i found exempting vehicles without EGR, but im one year off, since this paper says 2002 and newer. my truck is 01. can smeone let me know if i have to have an EGR during my smog inspect here in Ca?
