Down 2008 F-250 6.4L (COOLANT BLOWING OUT DGAS CAP)

SO RECENTLY I HAVE HAD AN ISSUE WITH COOLANT BLOWING OUT OF MY RESERVOIR USUALLY UNDER LOAD GOING UPHILL. I BOUGHT THE TRUCK WITH A SPARTAN TUNER AND DASHDAQXL PROGRAMER. THIS IS MY FIRST DIESEL AND DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT RUNNING THESE THINGS. TOOK IT TO FORD AND THEY TOLD ME THEY NEED TO REPLACE EGR COOLERS AND HEAD GASKETS WHICH IS GOING TO COST ABOUT $5,500. THEY ALSO SAID I COULD HAVE CYLINDER DAMAGE (TYPICAL). MECHANIC SAID MY COOLANT PRESSURE WAS GOING UP TO 30LBS WHICH IS HIGH.

I REALLY NEED SOME ADVICE AS WHAT TO DO. SHOULD LET THEM FIX IT OR DO SOME TYPE OF EGR DELETE OR WELD SOME BLOCK OFF PLATES.

IF I DO THE EGR OR BLOCK PLATES WILL THIS CAUSE ANY ISSUES WITH PRESSURE BUILD UP?

PLEASE HELP! I AM NOW DEPLOYED AND THE WIFE IS STUCK AT HOME WITH THIS TRUCK.

(OUT OF WARRANTY) THANKS!

A complete EGR delete kit will be the thing to do in my opinion it will be the best thing to do for that truck it wont hurt anything ether...

We had a f550 come in with the same problem the worst EGR cooler leak i have ever seen but it was a 6.0 i never took the heads off i just replaced the EGR and after i did replace the EGR me and a coworker looked if it needed head gasket work and we decided it didnt the gaskets were fine and that truck is driving around just fine now

i wouldn't have anyone do all the work at once like that i would call around more and tell them you want the delete kit done first then see if the gaskets need replaced or not

This is just my opinion someone elses may be different but good luck hope this helps

also i wouldnt be driving it around dont push it, it will only result in more problems and could result in engine meltdown
