04 Ford 6.0D VFAN code
Coming home after a long day fighting another problem, the engine started over heating. Could not hear the VFAN running. Read the codes, got a "P0480 VFAN Fan 1 Control Circuit, Short to voltage, Short to ground, Open Circuit" (from the Banks IQ).
I suspect an open circuit or connector problem since I was messing around with the cables while playing with the Banks Controller. It was the blown fuse that killed the engine as told in my earlier thread.
The controller is on the drivers side close to the fire wall with a cable plugged into the ECM.
Does anyone know where the cable to the VFAN connector is located or where the VFAN Sensor is located? Is there a fuse related to this?
Thanks,
JJ Reich

this VFAN is the cooling fan in the 6.0. according to service manuals there is a relay that controls the fan motor. but know one knows where the relay is. Do any of you?
