Default 7.3 Low Boost code Need Help!

I checked the DTC codes on my 2001 F250 7.3 and I received a low boost code I ran the data Monitor on the SCT and it was reading -0.30 PSI at Idle and at 2000 RPM around 3.0 PSI. I have no idea what the problem might be and was looking for suggestions to fix the problem. I was thinking it may be loose hoses around the intercooler but I was suggested to drop my tank and clean out the sending unit of the fuel tank. Please anything will be helpful thanks.

What is the engine doing? Smoking a lot or none at all? Low power? Have you checked the turbocharger waste gate to make sure it is closed? Is there oil leaking at the turbocharger pedestal?

It isn't smoking. No oil near turbo. There is some power but it seems like it lags a lot to get up to 50 mph. I'm going to check the waste gate in a couple days but I am a novice mechanic and don't really know how to approach it. And there is a lot of power when I really stomp on it.
