ok heres one that even has the ford techs stumped. i just bought a 2002 superduty w a 7.3 in it has had the ipr cps and icp replaced new batteries fully charged has plenty of fuel and pump works fine, hpop builds up to 2800 lbs when cranking. won't show any codes. i have switched out the pcm and idm the thing cranks good has smoke while cranking. will start and run on either after glow plugs time out using very little as i don't like using it, has voltage to gps all checked out .7 or less ohms, injectors ohmed out at 2.5 to 2.8 thanks in advance for any help

 

did you ohm the injectors independently under the valve cover or through the valve cover gasket connector?

 

Steve thanks for the reply. i checked through the connector on the valve cover gasket. checked compression tues. changing engine now 285 lbs compression first cylinder well #2 actually, try didn't even bother checking the others
