Default Fuel Leak

I've got an 03 F-250 with the 7.3L with 307K on the odometer. Today at work I noticed a small puddle under the engine, when I checked it was fuel. I've been told that with higher mileage diesels some leaks are common. I just do normal driving and occasionally will pull a horse trailer or my kids marching band trailer with it. Where would the most common spots be should I check to make sure that there isn't a serious leak. I run the occasional lucas oil fuel additive through every few tanks since I bought it last spring. The oil looks good and I'm not noticing any other problems. I'm a single dad of three teens on a budget so I want to save this from becoming a big/costly fix if I can. Any advice/help would be appreciated.

I noticed some fuel under the fuel filter. I had the truck running but can't see any fuel leaking out. I couldn't tell by looking if anything was loose but I also am not very flexible and couldn't get my hands in there.

Im a dodge guy now but drove 2 7.3s in high school. I had common peoblem of them leaking at the water drain valve on the fuelfilter housing. I guess there an o ring in there that wears out. That valve runs bout 50 bucks I think. 4 small screws that attach it to fuel filter housing. Should be able to see it leak when running with flashlight have to look close. Hope this helps
