Cummins marine diesel 6 BTA 5.9 m3 b370 1998. My oil pressure is sometimes irratic depending on the RPM, the sensor/sending unit was not provided by Cummins. where is the sensor/sending unit located?

 

straight back toward the rear of the engine from the injection pump oil supply line. it will be about mid way between the oil pan rail and the top of the block. takes a oil pressure sensor socket to remove but they can be bought at any parts store for less then $10
