Mike...not enough posts to reply to your PM...so I will post response here

It was not bad at all....it is just the clamp that you have to loosen...in fact I used 1/4 drive ratchet.Of course I just bought my truck in Texas so it has never seen road salt......when I was there I noticed bolt on the clamp holding the turbo was broke....dealer was 78.00 and Cummins was 27.00 for a new clamp....so if you need a new v-band clamp they are not bad(Cummings dealers part counters during the week are open till 11pm too).

Ron
Well, broke the turbo clamp bolt off after I had it half way loose, but once I had the rest of the pipe out from under the truck I was able to get the 2 exhaust bolts loose just fine, and they were what I figured I would break. Typical for me, the simple things are what break for me.... What makes matters worse....... NO ONE has a turbo clamp..... Dodge dealer said nearest one to me was about a 4 hours drive and nothing in the parts depot. I even checked with every semi dealership and parts stores around. So I got one ordered from the Sterling dealership, it should be here tomorrow.

Well Luke, I guess I'm going to have to find another way to "support" you.
I was planning on buying a new 4" exhaust system from you - but today I'm getting a new exhaust free. Attached to a VERY EXPENSIVE new truck!

Oh yeah, I'm gonna have to change my affiliation from the Cummins corner to Duramax.
Nuttin wrong with Cummins, and the decision was tough. The tie breaker was wanting my new truck to be different from the old truck, not just a new version of the same truck. LOL

Got my exhaust on Friday afternoon and it REALLY sounds good. Outside of issues I caused myself, I AM WELL pleased with the exhaust system and feel its a great value if you arent looking for a stainless system. If I ever would need a new system again I would more than likely buy it again.

Yeah, I miss my Cummins - but I probably won't be back "soon".
Unless I encounter some kind of serious problems, I'll probably drive this truck about 10 years too.
