Hey Guys,
If you are thinking about an exhaust for your truck, and you aren't into throwing money after a name or paying for name brand advertising, these are the kits for you!
The quality and ease of installation make these kits a REAL bargain, in my opinion.
I get allot of compliments on how my truck sounds and how the exhaust looks on the truck.
Luke is a reputable guy. He has worked hard to achieve and maintain that reputation in the aftermarket diesel industry, and on this board.
I bought my Expandit 5" kit almost 2 years ago, (Before I met Luke here..) and I am still satisfied with it, and have never regretted or looked back!

This looks like a good a place as any for this question: If my '06 Cummins already has a 4" stock exhaust, wouldn't a cat-delete pipe and a good high-flow muffler give me the same results as the MBRP 4" Turbo Back? I'm not sure if the stock vs. MBRP downpipes are different. Does anyone have the skinny as this as well? I'm not looking for loud and obnoxious, but a better flowing system for the mods I have on it right now.
Also, rumor has it that the turbo-spool is slower and bottom end torque goes away with the 5" unless you have a bigger turbo and injectors to justify it. Is this a fact that y'all have seen as well?
One more: If I ran a straight pipe from the downpipe back, just how stupid loud would my truck be? I just might be the only guy here that thinks that black smoke and loud pipes isn't all that.

I'll agree with that. I had welded a bunch of 'delete kit' stuff on my truck, but once I got my 4" turbo back, there was a difference in sound and EGT's.

You will lose NO turbo spool speed, or low end torque, with the 5" system.
I'm thinking this "rumor"(Misconception) propagated from the Non Turbo Gasoline motor crowd trying to apply their concepts to a turbo diesel platform...

Hey Luke you got me sold on your exhaust. How loud is your 5" exhaust and the 5" isn't going to overkill for my truck is it. I got plans for it but as of right now its all stock. Plan on ordering the exhaust and intake at the same time in early Sep. Right now just getting the low down on what to buy!

For your application it is 5" from Turbo to Tip

5" Will work great on your truck. 5" straight pipe will be a deep loud exhaust tone.
