My name is Robbie from Lake Charles, LA I am a first time and proud owner of a 07' F-250 6.0 with 51,000 miles on it. I've been looking high and low for the right deal on a truck for several weeks. So this past Wednesday I made a 3 hour tripe to New Orleans and bought what I hope to be is a good truck. As far as I know the truck has no mods besides it is running a different tune then stock. I found this out because dealership salesman called previous owner in front of me to get me key pad lock code. I quickly ask while he had the previous owner on the phone if he had done any mods to the truck. He said it had a different program then factory but did remember which one and that he would have to dig around and find it. Other then the A/C switching to defrost vents when I put it in 4, I don't believe there are anymore issues to speak of. I plan on doing head studs by the end of the year or shortly after. Who do you guys recommend in my area? I'm 2 hours from Houston and 3 from New Orleans. I plan on putting a tune on the truck for now but I have no idea if my current SCT XCal 2 will work with my truck. I previously used it on my 03' Ford Lightning. If so where do I get a tune for SCT XCal 2? Mainly for better fuel mileage but please keep in mind that my pocketbook is not ready for head studs yet. Next I would like to know which exhaust system you all prefer? Also I do plan on doing the EGR delete. So could you guys please advise me on how to fix my A/C issue stated above and line me out on the rest.
