Default 12v in a nbs chevy

hi i was curious to know if you can put a 12v cummins in a newer body style 99 gmc 2500 6.0 4x4 single cab non HD. I have been told by numerous people it can be done as far as the wieght of the vehicle or gw of the truck meets requirements but i have also been told you cant becuase of the fact you cant put an older motor in a newer truck? but as far as i know they say that becuase of emissions and blah blah blah but would converting it to diesel disprove this theory? any advice would be greatly appreciated!

yes the engine will fit. screaming seaman offroad has the engine mounts just for that. as far as the emissions part that will depend on your state laws.

In calif, you can not put a older engine in a newer truck! autoworld converstions makes great products! I did my 89 with a 12 valve and they make the crossmember, ac brakets alt. brackets and supplyed the mounts and all hardware to make it a bolt in deal! they are great people to deal with!!
