Personally, I would get the tuner first. Just don't turn it up. See if you are happy with it. If youwant more start saving for a trans. Once you have the money, turn it up and go until the tranny dies. Then you have the money to get it built. At least that is what I would do anyway.
the prices on some of this stuff is definately enuff to make u sweat

I personally would do the tranny first, but that's because I can't keep my grubby mitts off the tuner!!
We run Goerend transmissions in all our trucks. We have Goerend's in our tow rig and both of our 800+ HP pulling trucks. And the warranty is awesome - lifetime on the converter. And he'll replace it no matter what you are doing to your truck. He knows exactly what we do with our trucks, and builds us looser or tighter converters on demand. Dave Goerend has saved our butts more times than I can count! Their service is amazing!!
Good luck and have fun!!

First you need to get yourself a set of Gauges. Then a 4" or 5" exhaust system. Then get yourself a programmer or box and keep it on the lower settings until you can get yourself at least a Valve Body and Torque Converter. Once you start running the higher settings then it will be time to look at a Fuel Pump.
Power Adders: Edge Juice with Attitude, TST, Smarty, Quadzilla
VB/TC: Suncoast
Fuel Pumps: FASS or Airdog

I have a 4 inch custom straight pipe exhaust already, Im wanting a set of 5 in. dual stacks tho. with a 4 inch exhaust. but I was told that if u put duals on that one side will always smoke more than the other. Which IMO would look really dumb and defeat the purpose entirely. but i see all these videos of diesels and it looks to me like they are smoking equally. so i dont know wut to do. Im just trying to get the baddest setup possible w/o spending tens of thousands of dollars. do stacks really make a difference vs a dual exhaust or a single? and what about straight vs muffler?
I have so many ideas but dont know how to put them together

I have so many ideas but dont know how to put them togetherSometimes it is true that they smoke un even... It isn't like one does nothing though... they both still are almost equal. And be easy with the "stuff is gay" comments... one of the Mods (Benjamin) is homosexual and he gets his panties in a bunch when people make remarks like that... Just a heads up!

That's pretty funny right there... This should be good!

Most trucks with stacks have one side that will smoke more. It's just the way the t-pipe is set up in the bed. I don't think it so much smokes a lot more, but it smokes sooner.
Oh and I accepted your add on Myspace!! Thanks! Not only are we diesel girls, we are also both Jack Daniels girls!
