New Member from New York
I've been around diesels for many, many years. Mostly were European automotive diesels. I was a master tech, since retired from turning wrenches and have had my truck,a 2006 Dodge 3500 Dually for 2 years now. Bought it from the dealership for a real decent price. It had been suffering from a few electrical gremlins they couldn't figure out, which over time, I've worked out. The truck is great and I use it to tow about 7500lbs of toys and tractors to upstate New York. I've owned other trucks, gas, all Dodges. Truck has an Edge juice with Attitude, Banks High Ram Intake, Airaid cold air intake, and now dauls out the back. When I bought it, she had smoker 6 inch stacks. After many noisy miles with those, I wanted something more tolerable as a daily driver. I also have an Air Dog II fuel system, which the pump motor stopped working on Friday coming home from work. It has been on the truck for less than a year. Hope to get it replaced under warranty ASAP since this truck is my daily driver. I do all service and repairs myself, and my son has a 2003 and I work on his as well.

Thanks for the welcome, PureFlow/Airdog sent me a new pump motor under warranty, hooked up without a hitch and was back on the road in no time. The new motor is much quieter than the original, makes me think, something had been wrong with it all along. Used the truck to tow toys upstate NY over the weekend. All is good, new out the back Cool Duals exhaust sounds great at 70 - 75 mph. I can actually talk with the passengers in the cab, my wife is pleased, so you know how that works..

We go up to a small town called Pleasant Brook, just outside of Cherry Valley. Have a few acres and a small cabin. I run the tractor with bush hog to keep the field clean, and run the toys in the miles of trails in the area. For the most part, they're snowmobile trails through the mountains. We do have a few mud holes, those my sons are very fond of. When up last, the mud has pretty much dried up, due to lack of rain. But we still have fun... Next planned trip is in August..
