Default New to Diesel World and loving it

Hi everyone,

I lucked out and picked up a 1995 Dodge 12v for a good price - then stripped and painted it. 340K and runs great. I soon after had to replace the radiator, sending unit in the tank and now doing intercooler hoses but hey... at least I know that stuff is all taken care of and I won't have to worry about those on a long trip!

Here is a picture. I have since put some parts back on it and am driving it nearly every day.

Thanks guys. It's a lot of fun working on this ol truck let me tell you. You can repair and mend almost everything on it and anything that you do need to replace can be found locally reasonable cost. The tires were the only thing that cost me an arm and a leg but that's no surprise. Good ol' Michelins will last me forever.

Lovin this forum btw. Endless knowledge. I've always considered other brands so it's good to read up on what people are doing with their machines.

Howdy. Well I went and turned up the wheel on the injector pump yesterday so now I can give a puff of smoke off the line. I don't want to be accused of being gas powered with a big exhaust tip you know. heh

Gotcha. I'm not looking for big power - just reliability. I'll be keeping it mostly stock unless something fails and I have to upgrade. My biggest mod I want to do right now is finish up the interior by covering up the headliner with some new material. Then I want to put more tie down hooks and hold downs in the bed for motorcycles, roto-tillers and other fun machinery. I'm LOVING the 8ft bed on this thing.
