help new member (hpz-28)

I have a 96 F250 bone stock,thinking about taking off catalytic converter for more power. What are the drawbacks on this??

Hey I'm new to this site too, but there are no draw backs to removing your cat. Diesels don't like back pressure. Just make sure the emissions standards won't screw with ya. I tested lots of power strokes at the last shop I worked at and they still passed with out cats.. Thats in Idaho though..
