Default Love all that is custom and or powerfull

I build custom cars and trucks. I have at least one project "not yet ready for the road" in my possession at all times and have for the last 10 years. I drove my chopped channeled 60 delivery
16 hours each way with barley a floor in it, to the Custom Nat's about 3 years ago and thought enough is enough.
I had a 91 Chevy ext cab duelly 454 truck (but no engine) that had been body dropped and I really wanted to put a Cummins in it.
[/IMG]One of my many jobs was as a parts Tech at a dodge dealership and I really liked the Cummins engine and what it did for Chrysler. I started really putting a bug in everyones ears, "I want a Cummins". "keep an eye out"
No Cummins yet but I did find this Tahoe
So I fixed her up, wheels, gears, 3/4 ton rear end, programmer, ext> I towed with it for a year

but going up the grape vine was a nightmare. I just couldn't keep it cool.

One day my friend calls me and says, "I found your motor donor, but you aren't gonna want to tear it apart". So I drove over to check it out. Well it was dusty, the speedo and blinkers didn't work but man, it starts right up and has no blow by. I thought to my self, my towing nightmares would be over if I could get this thing.
I told everyone that the Tahoe was for sale and I priced it to move $3500! My cusin who lives in tahoe (funny) wants it, so she drives down and pays me in cash....
next day, after a bath:

Since then, thanks to a whole lot of forum reading, she is knocking on the 300HP door (if not over it). I have swapped out the turbo for an HX35 and swapped the exhaust housing out for a 16cm^ so she will tow cool. I swapped in some custom 5x12 sticks, installed a M&H timing spacer, turned up the pump, put in a Denny T fuel pin, installed the 366 3200 spring, replaced the exhaust with a 4" kit, upgraded the clutch, added sound insulation to quite the cab, and did my own BHAF mod. I also added some 19.5s for style and some HD tires for function.

In any case, Hi everyone. I made an account a while ago but this is my 1st post

Awesome delivery. I want to get a first gen dually as well. C-notch it and bag it. I love the way the 19.5s look on them.

I thought about it, I would have to make or adapt fenders from another duelly since the stocks are so minimal. also, the oil pan, tranny and exhaust hang down bellow the frame.
I lowered the back 2" already. I think Ill go 2" more all around and call it good.

It would sit very nice and tuck those 19.5 good after you do that.

I got taken on that Tahoe. It was suposed to just need a trany. I traded a 60 Elco for it. When I got it the transfer case was already out, so I put a new trany in without thinking about it. I drove it home on day and the oil turned to soup. Not only was it leaking coolant into the crank case but he had also put some concoction in it to plug the leak. This stuff was thick to! I ended up throwing a engine in it to. Then I got the 35's for it and it needed gears bad. I found a never installed fresh rebuilt 14SF with limited slip and 4.55's that came with a matched gear set in the box for the front. I put all that in so the whole drive train is new except the transfer case. The dude that set up my front gears said the front looked like they never used 4wd and the transfer case was just as unused.
