i found this site during a websearch. i have not had too much time to lurk, so if i missed something, sorry!

my diesel powered stuff incluudes an old excavator (4-53), allis dozer (ac diesel), a 352 pete (cat) and my fave-- a diesel scout.

the scout is a terra, long wheelbase pickup. it has the worst diesel EVER...nissan power from the stone age. you cant find parts for them....
so, my idea is to swap in something different.
thought about a detroit, but the powerbands dont match-- 3500 vs 2800 for a 53 series, and they are heavy.
anyone ever hear of a 4.3 olds diesel?
its a v6 version of the olds 350.
anyways, i think it might be a interesting swap.
i bought it in a car, drove it for like six months before i pulled it out.

its weird seing 'gm diesel' on it-- like its a detroit.
i wonder if i make up a story about a '6-43' protptype built just for international....think that will screw with anyone looking under the hood?????

anyways, thank you for having a forum for old dudes to post on....it cant all be duramax/powerpowerstroke/cummins can it?
