First off you should find out to see if the kdp (killer dowel pin) has been dealt with.if not then that should be the first thing done to you're truck. Then after that you can go from there. What are you going to use the truck for? After we know that we can go from there.

The 12 valves are great motors. These diesels like to breath, so if they can breath in easier and get the exhaust gasses out easier the motor will run a little better, and you might see your fuel milage go up a little bit.I know mine did.Your transmission is already built so that another plus.

you dont want a turbo that big. and if all you do is tow shoot for 500 or less HP your HX35 can take you into the 300's reliably, but if your engine is stock you dont need a turbo first. put some gov springs in it and do something with the fuel plat (your preference) intake exhaust then see how addicted you really are and where you want to go from there.
