New member here, I was searching for info on putting an OM617 Mercedes engine in a jeep cherokee and this is the site that seems to have the most comprehensive information, and the most people that have actually done it.

I currently have a 1990 Cherokee 4x4, 6.5" long arm suspension, 33's, 4.10s with a very tired engine. I am going to be checking out a 1982 mercedes diesel sedan that is quite inexpensive as a potential current daily driver and future engine donor for the Jeep.

My daily drivers are a 1988 Mercedes 300TE wagon and a 1995 F250 (now F350 with the front dana 60) supercab 4x4 powerstroke 5 speed. Although the powerstroke is currently down due to a glow plug tip stuck in the head (the PO that put the Autolite GP in there better hope that we never meet again )

So that is me, hoping to get some info from this site and contribute where I can.
