I am a Mercedes diesel driver.
With a beat up 1978 300CD (non turbo, of all things....) I rage a (not so) quiet war on Los Angeles streets.
I have quite a few others (Mercedes and diesels), that I will be fixing and selling.
Just love(d) those things , until the price of diesel topped $4.
I need to improve the gas mileage, only getting about 22/25mpg....
I am considering robbing a fast food place of their veggie oil, but then again, that's almost grand theft these days............(just kidding about the whole thing !!).
Any likeminded tinkerer(s) in AV or Santa Clarita (N L A County)contact me, please for exchange of ideas....

Those Mercedes are great machines! Glad to have you as a member! To get better fuel economy lower rolling resistance tires! Bridgestone does have a set, and so does Goodyear. Look around you might find something. I do know that In some case and years Mercedes.......
Anyway plenty of information on here, we do have a Mercedes diesel section!
