Default Diesely Challenged Need Help

Hello Everyone

My name is Gene and I don't have a diesel I guess you could say i'm diesely
challenged and I know I don't belong here but I had to join in order to ask a
few question but I did drive big rigs for a living does that count towards anything?
now that i'm retired I purchased a '51 Chevy Wagon just to be different and I started
thinking diesel.
I joined the California Bombers and I posted some pics to let you know what i'm up
against. I hope you have some good construtive ideas.
thanks

I don't care if you don't fit in! You and your friends are more then welcome to this site! Ask all the questions, you can. Use our search tools, to see if we have answered your question in the past. Keep posting pics! We love em!
Plenty of information, but do be careful of some of the touch info that requires critical thinking. We do have the occasional heated debates over opinions.
With that Said!

WELCOME

I thank you very kindly sir for your welcome and your kind words.
Do you know anything about these Chevrolet Duramax diesel engines?

I thought maybe because of the partnership between GM and Isuzu
they might be a good candidate for the wagon.
Do the Duramax engines only come in 2500 series and larger trucks?

Maybe my engine compartment isn't even big enough, is there a place
I can find out the dimisions for various engines? and then I can compare
those with mine before I even think about putting one in the wagon.
thank you
gene

Post your question on the Diesel Engine Conversion board, you will get ALOT of input. Welcome to this site, I have found it to be one of the friendliest and informative boards.
