Hi from Afghanistan
Hello all!
New here to Diesel BOMBers! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Sergeant Charlie Pruett (the Army named me SGT, not my Momma) and I am currently deployed in Afghanistan, where it's snowing like a bitch!
Anyway! Bought a 1984 Chevy Pickup with a 6.2 Diesel in it for $500 while I was home on leave and need some help with it, so that's how I found this place! Hope ya'll can help! Look forward to talking to ya'll!

I'm over here too. Up on BAF. If I can do anything to help you there let me know. Been around here for awhile so I know a few people.
Stay safe out there.

You're Welcome!
I'm not the only one on here that I've seen. But I can say for myself that I is truly an honor to serve the people of the United States of America (Even if I don't agree with the politicians)
Yahwah Bless you!

Back to my truck... The one larger wire coming from the 2 wire plug in the back of the alternator, goes to the battery + to tell the alternator when to charge, right?
Where should the smaller wire go then? Where behind the dash? Just a positive ignition source?
Thanks for the help guys. The wife says it runs great for about 5 days before she's got to charge the battery again and I really don't want to have to worry about her not having transportation while I'm not there, so ya'lls help is much appreciated!

Weather report......
Sorry about the delay here. It was snowing hard here a few days ago. Knocked us off line for awhile. It's better now. Litte rain and little sun. Temps not too bad....Way better than what they had at home....
Stay safe out there.
