Code PO380 needs cleared to pass smog
Hi all, First post. My computer has the code PO380 in it on my 2003 2500 HD. I have replaced all my glow plugs even though I only found 4 that were bad. My mechanic friend says I need to replace my glow plug relay, so I bought it but could not find the location to replace it. Every thing I read said it is on top of the left valve cover at the back. There is a glow plug controller there but no relay. If you check parts for my vehicle it should have the relay and not the controller which is shown for the 2003 year.
I just want to pass smog and get on with my life. The truck runs fine and always starts, so I don't care about the code but the state of california does and it needs to be cleared prior to bringing it in for the smog check. Any help would be appreciated.
