Actually your build thread is the one that my friend send me a link too, awesome thread and rather inspiring.

Well... hopefully you can gather a few ideas....

Otherwise a 4BT and 5 speed OD will be PERFECT in a half ton....

Hell I almost ran it in my 1.5 ton project...... but got a good deal on a 12V and I just couldn't pass it up....

I have, i would love to bag mine as well but being a poor college student sucks.

Mine is actually a 1 ton model. Ford came out with a "light" duty model (3/4 ton) and a one ton version. Mine came with the full floating rear axle and is the long bed, the light duty came with a semi floating axle and a short bed. Both trucks came with either the flathead 6 or flathead V8 optional.

Since i'm on a major budget, i'm searching around for a good deal on either model, or a detroit diesel 3-53.
