egr valve cleaning
Neat to read the info. I just cleaned my EGR Valve on my 2004 f350 6.0 160,000 miles. It was really carboned up. I used a pry bar like someone had suggested to remove it from the engine. I used a wire brush to clean it. I lightly pecked on the valve to get it unstuck. I used graphite on the stem of the valve to lube it. After installing it the truck it runs great. I don't know how long the lube will work but gently wigiling the stem while sprinkeling it with graphite to get it down in there is working now.

Hi; I've got a ford 2004 f350 6.0 160,000 miles. I read some of your ideas on fixes for the egr valves . I use the truck for hualing a 5th wheel around and it does great. 70mph over hill and dale!
