I recently bought a 05 Dodge 2500 HD from the bank. Always wanted a diesel. I knew it had engine trouble and I suspect it needs a new engine. Who ever had it before made a mess out of the truck. He had it less than a year, broke down, thought he was going to replace the motor cause he had the radiators in the back seat, and it looks like it set through last winter till now. I drained the pan and got all antifreeze.

Any help on where to find a used 5.9.

Good place to start. Thanks. On one site they are asking 5.9L, vin C, 8th digit, MT or AT. What's the difference?

MT = Manual Trans
AT = Auto Trans
