Default Bad roll of the dice
Recently bought an '01 Dodge/Cummins and got the infamous "53" block. Looks like my affair with diesels may be short. ;-)

Never had a problem out of my old truck with a 53 block some do some dont, good luck and enjoy youre truck.

Actually only a small percentage of them ever have a problem, you just hear about the one's that do. Nobody ever talks about the millions of them that never have a problem. Be proud of the truck and have fun.

I have a 53 block. As luck would have it, I've not had a problem with it. Some do, some don't. Drive it till it leaks...
