Welcome to the forum, I don't know much about 24valves but I think they are pretty reliable. I have heard that the only real problem is the injection pump, but there may be ways to make it live longer. Post your question in the Here: 24 Valve 2nd Gen Dodge Cummins 98.5-02 - Diesel Bombers and you'll probably get some more info.
