New guy.. intro? no intro?
I didn't spot a place for intro's, heck you guys might not even do them, but I figured before I start posting it would be common courtesy to introduce myself.
My names Paul. I just got my first cummins, in the form of a 2001 ram 2500 4x4 longbed ext.? cab. It's got just over 180k on the motor and auto trans was "rebuilt" but i'm always leary of shops I don't know and work that some people claim to have had done.
anyways, im pretty new to diesels and look forward to getting to know more about them, especially these cummins.
Anything in particlular to watch for on these 24 valve trucks? The dodge auto trannys have always scared me but I've never dealt with them first hand. any good tranny swaps out there for reasonable cost? ... just for future reference
