Shut Mouth Peace out Dieselbombers

Guys, thanks for having me here. It's been a blast, I've learned a ton from all of you guys since joining in '08 and coming on here has been a great way to kill some moments in between. Sadly, I had to sell my truck. It was not necessarily a choice but something I had to do given the current direction my life is headed. I think it was Gene Hackman who said "you're either incredibly smart, or incredibly stupid". In my world it's all or nothing, there are no half-efforts. I have a lot of personal goals I want to accomplish before I become too old to use them as an excuse for being a broke *** 30-something year old. I'm giving myself 12-24 months to try some things that will hopefully lead me closer to a place where I can consistently be happy.

Since graduating from college in '07 I've learned a few things:
-paying bills sucks
-being broke sucks
-working consistently long hours for that next promotion sucks
-I don't need a boat a mortgage a camper a quad and a 72" screen to be happy

Good luck to everybody, hope things go well for you, hopefully there's no more tragedy in the Bomb Shelter.

No truck and new direction doesn't mean you have to leave us behind. Your always gonna need a place to vent and find friends always willin to share. I've found my fortunes and lost em several times over in my life so far and the only thing I've learned for sure, is that friends that are always there when you need them and ask nothing in return are a hard to find commodity. This site has an abundance of them. It may have started out as a truck site but has grown to be more of an extended family for most of us here.

Good luck in where ever your future takes you.

It's only the first wave of disillusionment, there's more to come, you'll get used to it.
