New to diesel bombers
A little introduction, bought a 2002 F350 for 8 grand and knew it would need some work. Started with new pinion seal and new orings on turbo and pedistal. Tried to get front end alined but I was told needed new lower ball joints. I replaced loweer ball joints, new rotors, calipers, and pads, along with new front tires. Then I found the tranny leak. Previous owner used JB weld around fitting on by pass line return to tranny. The problem is the case is cracked so the new by pass valve will not tighten up. Towed to transmission shop and 3200$ later have a totally rebuilt tranny with a new case. My problem is the tranny mechanic told me there are several engine code problems. I am on a very tight budget, like everyone,so I will need to do the work myself. What I am hoping for is that I can get some help from people who have experience with these codes. When I pick up the truck and get the codes I will post them in the proper forum. I enjoy fixing things but I am not good at diagnosing the problem. I do not want to try to fix by buying new parts and putting them on and see if they work. Thanks for any help that is given to me in the future.

Welcome to the Bombers tkeller6!
The cracked 4R100 case was an unpleasant surprise I'm sure. We noticed it was a problem usually caused by heavy handed installers. We engineered the tooling and equipment to fix 90% of them.
Please contact one of us at Racer X Power if you still have the case.
Visit our sponsor forum also please. Huntsville was where the huge Saturn rocket engines were tested for the moon missions. If you have an interest, we celebrated Independence day this year by including photos of the Saturn. Some were taken up close by a staff member of the worlds largest fireworks. Worlds largest Fuel injector too! Link to our July 4th post with the Huge Saturn 5.
There are many knowledgeable members here who can offer advice on repairs to bombing your truck for increased horsepower & performance.
