Default Hello

Ok! I'm new here.

I own a 2002 Dodge 3500 with the 24v engine.

I have about 60k miles. I am a retired mechanical tech, but from the waste water field.

I bought my truck when i retired and it was a year old with 25k miles.

It is nothing but a stock truck.

Everything was ok until recently and check engine light came on. So now the new learning curve begins.

Finally figured out how to get the codes and figured out I had the 0216 code of death

Just ordered me a vp44 pump, and spent a day getting the old one off while waiting for the rebuilt one to be delivered.

I found a place called The Diesel Store on line, Hope the product is ok.

I am still very Green around the gills and learning about my diesel truck. Sounds kinda dumb don't it.

Well I'm hoping I get the pump back in correctly and running ok

Oh yeah being retired, my money don't go as far as the younger working crowd!

I can only afford the stock truck items, and barely afford that.

This looks like a real nice place to meet and learn from you Diesel Pros. and I take all my learning very serious, even at my age of 68

You will want to make absolutely certain that you have a fuel pressure gauge, or you may well kill the new VP44 before you even know it. Good luck!
