What's up?
Hello, my name is Ted, I come from a family of truck drivers that think they know all, but they really don't. I am an aircraft mechanic for about 10 years now. I am mechanically inclined, however I know little about diesel performance. However, when I get into something I like to research the hell out of it. I have owned a few 6.9 and non turbo 7.3's and about a year ago I bought my first powerstroke, a 2002 Excursion.
The X has a 10 inch lift, on 20" motometals with 37" Nitto Terra Grapplers. As far as the drivetrain it is basically stock. The only mods have been a TS performance 6 position chip and a K&N intake.
I am on Tranny number three in the last year, both times we dropped it, we were about 600 miles from home with a full load (passengers and trailer). Luckily I have family and friends willing to help and get this big girl home.
I am sure I will be full of questions, rather than many ideas for a little while. I am looking forward to hanging out on here and learning from everyone.
