Default my 4 x 4 from down under

Hi guys my name is Peter but my mates call me Evo i have an extended hj75 [600mm] with a 6.2 chev diesel conversion hooked up to a standard 5 speed gearbox and standard diffs nothing special mind you but i am impressed with the lowdown power this engine produces however worn out it is.You will have to forgive my lack of engine knowledge but i believe it's an old one as it's got lots of fan belts on it and a mechanical pump.after getting shafted by local tradesmen i am looking at getting a motor and suitable transmission from the states to install in the hj75 so i can go into the desert in search of a new track from the Pilbra to the rock Basically i am looking for a bullet proof motor and gearbox combo built by the guys whove had a life time experiance with these motors can you guys help?
Evo
psi will send a photo of my ute when i work out how to all the best.

You will probably want to ask your engine question here for a better answer:

Good luck on your project!
