I joined this site because I've learned that I cannot afford to drive my dream truck once I finish it (1976 F150 4X4, 400M, 4spd, SWB) and it dawned on me that a diesel swap would add the cherry on top, good mileage! I originally planned on a 4BT but my brother has located a screaming deal on a 6.9L. So what say the experts? I am concerned with the weight of the 6.9. I don't want to have to go to 1 ton axles.
