1988 Dodge cummins
'88 Cummins? Yep, this old truck has been in the family for some time now. My dad bought it back in the 90's from the original owner with it's 318 gas power still running great. Long story short, we found a beat up '92 Cummins truck sitting in a field at a local paving company, bought it with no title, and stuffed everything in our truck, being that it had a better body and interior. Since then I've had a local shop rebuild the transmission with billet backed Dacco conertor, minor tuning to the pump, 4" straight "fire engine style" exhaust, and am digging up the courage to tear the pump down and intall a 3200 rpm governor spring. I don't have any big power plans, possibly changing exhaust housing on the turbo, and to finish paint and body. Just want to improve it where I'd like it, keep it mild and reliable. It only ways 5300lbs, so i don't need huge power, or at least that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
