buy a 6.4L powerstroke if you're going for serious power, a cummins if you're going for reliability and a duramax if you want a combination of the two, that's in my opinion anyway

never had a power problem out of my 12v or a reliabilty problem.

Default A 6.4 Powerstroke or Cummins ?

I would go for a Dodge Cummins if I could afford it right now. The 2002 Chevy is only $3,500
I have been a Mopar guy for decades. The last Chevy I owned was in the 70's and before that 1962. Believe me, to buy a Chevy is a sacrilage, but the price is right.
I am looking to buy it from the guy I work for (part time) so that is why I am looking for an answer on the idling problem
