Yank banished to the UK
Hey,
I'm a retired US Navy Intel Chief (Parajumper) living in the UK these past 11 years. Desert race a Hummer H1 in North Africa. Bought it from sheik in Bahrain while posted there in 2002. Since the Navy was not going to PAY to send back, my wife flew down, I checked out on leave...and we drove home. Bahrain - Saudi - Jordan - Syria - Turkey - Greece - Italy - France - UK. Yep, the Navy paid for it eventually!
Two boys, 16 and 18 who are products of the UK education system. American accents, British grammer. Now they live in California and can't beat the girls off with a stick!
Wife is an industrial psychologist (I have to call her Dr. Honey!), I'm a Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society. She flies microlights, I fly a Hummer H1...
Where do I park a Hummer H1 in England?? Anywhere I want! What are they going to do? Tow it?!
